How to Remove/Install Front Seats

This how-to will explain how to remove the front seats in a Mk3.5 Cabrio. This may also apply to other Mk3 models.

  1. Slide the seat to the furthest forward position. Remove the plastic seat rail cover.
  2. Slide the seat to the furthest back position. Remove the bolt and nut keeping the seat from sliding back further.
  3. Slide the seat back, and out of the back of the rail.
  4. Unplug the airbag and seat heating connectors.
  5. Fold the seat down and remove from the car.
  • Installation is reverse of removal.
