Dash
The dash of a Mk3 or Mk3.5 Cabrio is the same as a Mk3 Golf or Jetta. Cabrios have some exclusive materials (such as the "shark skin" dimpled material used in some Mk3.5s), but the fitment is the same.
Steering Wheel & Shifter Knob
Mk3 Cabrios come with the same steering wheels and shifter knobs as other Mk3 models. However, Mk3.5 Cabrios feature Mk4-look steering wheels and shifter knobs.
However, the actual attachment of the steering wheel to the steering column in a Mk3.5 is that of a Mk3 Golf, not a Mk4. So Mk4 Golf steering wheels will not fit any Cabrio, even though they look the same. The Mk3.5 Shifter knob also fits like a normal Mk3 knob, as well as the leather boot. Mk4 shifter knobs and boots will not fit a Cabrio without modification.
Lighting
All Cabrios came from the factory with red instrument and switch lighting. This means that although mk3 Golf and Jetta headlights switches, HVAC switches, trunk pop buttons, etc. will fit and function properly in a Cabrio, the lighting will not match. (Golf and Jetta lighting is green)

Seats
- The Mk3 Cabrio came with 4 different options for the seats: tan fabric, black fabric, flint leather, and black leather.
- Mk3.5 options are black leather, tan leather, tan fabric and charcoal fabric. All Mk3.5 seats came with integrated side impact air bags.
- The tan leather and tan fabric interior options offered in Cabrios were not available for other Mk3 models.
- The mk3 and mk3.5 Cabrio rear seats are specific to Cabrios and not interchangeable with other models.
- MK 3.5 Cabrios utilize the same floor brackets as MK3 Golf/Jetta and MK4 Golf/Jetta seats. This means seating can be upgraded utilizing MK3 or MK4 Floor Brackets and racing seats.
Interior Panels
The Cabrio front door panels are interchangeable with 2-door Mk3 Golfs and Jettas. The rear panels are unique and not interchangeable with any other cars.
Mk3.5 door panels have power door lock controls located in front of the door pockets. Mk3 Golfs and Jettas have power door lock controls located below the HVAC controls (so if you plan on using Mk3 Golf/Jetta/Cabrio door panels in a Mk3.5 Cabrio, you'll need to relocate the power door lock controls.)
